The RoleThe RoleThe Learning and Development Officer will be in charge of a wide range of L&D activities namely on-boarding and induction, annual training planning and reviewing, performance management, and individual development plans. - He/she will be the contact point for new hires in the stages of offering, mobilization and on boarding, and induction. He/she will be in charge of finalizing offers, coordinating with the Administration department the finalization of mobilization and on boarding including accommodation, transportation, etc, and implementing the induction program which will covers all areas of the business namely the industrial and Health & Safety areas. - He/she will be in charge of putting in place in tandem with the HROD Manager the training need assessment and putting in place the annual training and development plans for the office and the plant and translating these into actionable activities. - He/she will also be responsible for implementing the Performance Management System across the plant ant the local office; this entails the effective communication of the system and ensuring cascading down to all employees, managing the document collection, compilation and analysis of data and reporting to BU Management. - He/she will maintain effective and accurate training records for employees through accurate and timely progress tracking/reporting to BU management & introducing proper MIS for training management & tracking. - He/she will handle all training activities from course preparation to completion. This entails selecting training vendors, examining offered proposals, follow up on & preparing course material, handling logistical arrangements and closing the loop by evaluation of training and measuring effectiveness. He/she will also coordinate institutional platforms implementation with Paris, including Lafarge University programs and others such as Meet the Group program, Jump Program, Drive Program, etc. - He/she will be in charge of putting in place Individual Development Plans based on the performance and skills feedback received from line managers, and reflecting those IDPs in the training plans. |
RequirementsRequirements- 3-5 years of experience in HR of which at least 1-2 in Training/Learning and Development. - Strong analytical skills and reporting skills. Able to work well with numbers and complicated reports. - Strong communication skills. - Highly energetic and motivated individual, with personal drive and a high level of initiative. - Strong command of English and Arabic languages. |
