Job description / Role
In - house role involving the end to end contract management and negotiation for a Real Estate Development Company with offices in Doha. The in - house lawyer's responsibilities and duties would include:
- Liaising with external councils - local, regional and international.
- Reviewing all kind of agreements between the client and External parties (Consultants, contractors, designers etc).
- Reviewing and drafting agreements between the client and the plot owners.
- Reviewing all legal documentation regarding financing and relationship with banks and financial institutions.
- Reviewing and drafting correspondences between the client and external parties.
- Liaising with internal departments and completely all internal drafting of agreements
- Other duties as may arise given.
Requirements
- Higher Level Education - Relevant Degree from recognized educational institution.
- Be a Qualified Lawyer, solicitor or barrister (admitted to practice law in at least one jurisdiction), holding a current practicing certificate (or equivalent membership of recognized professional law body).
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience.
- We expect the right candidate to have knowledge and experience in end to end contract management.
- Previous experience from working in the Middle East, Qatar in particular will be appreciated and considered a plus for the applicant.
- Good written and spoken English is a must.
- Arabic is essential, including the ability to draft in Arabic.
