Our client is a global network of sports channels with headquarters across the Middle East, France, Indonesia and the US is currently undergoing significant executive talent growth given its formation in 2012. The firm currently operates and provides services across the Middle East, North Africa, France, USA, Indonesia, Canada, Hong Kong and Thailand. The Executive Team are now looking to recruit a Legal Assistant to their Legal MENA team to attend on-job training, perform legal research on issues, attend training internally / externally and provide reports on such trainings.
Reporting to the Legal Counsel, this role is responsible for the following:
• Attend any negotiations with 3rd parties as instructed by his/her direct Supervisor.
• Coordinating and working with paralegals for keeping structured and complete file indexes and case files.
• Proofreading legal documents.
• Prepare responses to complaints and discovery requests.
• Responsible for carrying out a variety of day to day functions in a law office such as meeting with clients, assisting attorneys, doing research work, and filing various documents.
• Draft and prepare corporate charter documents, partnership agreements and limited liability document.
• Supports the Legal Counsel to prepare for any court hearings and, under direction, prepare court pleadings for filing with the court.
Requirements
The attributes we seek for suitably qualified candidates comprise:
• Bachelor Degree in Law from a recognized University with a minimum of 2 years professional experience from a law firm, as a legal assistant or comparable.
• Candidates with experience the broadcasting or media industry will be highly regarded.
• Exceptional communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience in the MENA region is desirable.
