Legal, Compliance & Risk Manager - Bahrain - Leading Financial Institution

A leading financial institution is seeking an experienced Compliance and Risk Officer, to join their team in Bahrain. The role involves; evaluating and identifying technology and business risks, putting into practice ethics and anti-fraud programs, accomplishing communication deliverables, taking part in decision making while understanding the larger impact of such decisions and showing an understanding on compliance issues. The individual must have top interpersonal skills to manage relationships at all levels within the institution and external parties. The ideal candidate will also have something of a legal background and will be comfortable drafting and negotiating legal documents

Requirements

- Have at least 8 years experience working in compliance for a financial institution
- Certified in CPA/CA or PMP (or equivalent)
- Have some prior legal training or experience
- Have experience conducting risk assessment and creating compliance policies and procedures
- Be conduct research, performance assessments and development programs
- Possess the ability to find, measure and manage risks
- Be well versed in Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) regulations and principles

Skills that are not mandatory however are beneficial:
- Arabic language skills would be a distinct advantage
- Currently residing in the Kingdom of Bahrain or Middle East region.
