Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a global software company based in Dubai. Our client is looking to hire a Regional Counsel to manage the GCC region of their operation.
The role will offer unparalleled exposure to senior management at a corporate level, both within the legal function and across other business units. The MEA regional leadership team actively follows an “open door” policy and seeks support from Legal on key business decisions and plans for the future.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can develop and maintain effective working relationships, become a trusted advisor over time, and help the business in terms of reducing sales cycles, managing risk and supporting management’s drive towards commercially mature business practices.
Requirements
While the client is seeking a 5+PQE Lawyer, the level of experience is less important than the ability to develop relationships and win the trust of the business. You will liaise closely with the sales teams supporting bids, and negotiating and concluding software license and service agreements. The regional Legal Counsel’s time will also be spent on more general in-house legal matters such as personnel issues, corporate governance, compliance, disputes, partner management and import/export matters.
