Job description / Role
Legal Counsel - Bahrain (English & Arabic)
On behalf of our client, a well-known financial institution, Swisslinx is looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join their team.
In this role you will be reporting to the Head of Legal and working mainly on corporate banking activities of the bank.
Your main responsibilities will be to ensure that banking activities are in line with the legal policies and to provide legal advice to the business functions of the bank. Your additional tasks will include but not limited to
- Selecting and coordinating with external legal counsels
- Preparing and reviewing commercial contracts and agreements
- Ensuring the right implementation of legal policies for new products and services
- Carrying out legal research and analysis, making recommendations
- Providing legal advice on client related cases
- Working on ad hoc projects
Requirements
- Law Degree from a well-reputed university
- At least 6 years of legal experience
- Previous experience in corporate banking or experience in a law firm covering corporate banking
- Experience with transactional banking and corporate finance
- English and Arabic speaker
- GCC experience is mandatory
