Legal Counsel - Real Estate Development

Job description / Role

Our client is a luxury real estate developer.

To provide all round legal advice to all departments, assist with legal negotiations with external clients, deal with the production and review of all documents containing legal obligations in a timely fashion to serve the companys new and existing customers, thereby contributing to the companys overall revenue growth.

Main responsibilities:
- Draft, review, negotiate, amend and finalize all standard and non-standard documentation used within the organisation such as; customer sale contract, other customer documents, contracts with suppliers, consultants and contractors and HR documents
- Prepare and process all contractual documents required by the client in its carrying out of its business activities with external parties and governmental entities
- Interpret and summarise contractual rights and obligations under existing agreements
- Provide legal research with special projects as needed
- Research and monitor legal frameworks relevant to the clients business and advice the management accordingly
- Keep up to date with laws and procedures relating to the business
- Counsel and advise on legal and business issues, including risk assessment, mitigation and avoidance
- Provide concise and practical legal advice to all departments as and when required
- Identify and monitor legal developments and key concerns relating to the client.
- Advise on business actions related to internal affairs, directors, executives, stockholders and corporate relationship with public
- Proactive identification of legal issues and risks for management consideration and provide appropriate risk mitigation strategies

Requirements

- Should be qualified to a Moroccan legal bar
- Should be the holder of a legal degree
- 4 - 7 years experience
- Language Fluency: English & French
- Current Location: Morocco
- Should have extensive experience with real estate law or Real estate development law.
