Charterhouse is working with a distinguished name in the banking sector. Our client is looking to hire a talented Regulatory Lawyer to join their successful team. With one of the regions most impressive General Counsels as its Head, the wider group totals 16 employees consisting of the Legal team and the Company Secretary Department, where this role sits.

Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, you will be required to take full ownership of Compliance and Regulatory Law incorporating the constant changes in this sector. In addition, you will keep abreast of all legal and regulatory changes that may affect the bank across all areas. You will build lasting relationships with the relevant regulators and ensure the bank complies with any changes. The bank is willing to grow these responsibilities for an enthusiastic aspirant.

Requirements

The successful candidate should have 3 years PQE gained from a first-class regulatory practice within a renowned law firm. You should be Western educated and preferably admitted to practice in the UK, US, Australia or New Zealand.

This is an internationally orientated team and consists of lawyers from Magic Circle and Top Tier UK and US firm backgrounds. Arabic fluency is not essential but would be advantageous.
