Legal Counsel

Based in Saudi our client is a leading business group who provide services in Projects Development, Application Management and Acquisition. Our client is currently looking for a Legal Counsel for their Bahrain office.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Providing assistance and support to the group and to all groups entities i.e. schools, hospitals etc.
- Review preparation and negotiation of contracts between the company and third parties ( mainly governed by Bahraini/Saudi laws and, English law); common types of contracts including loan agreements, investment terms and conditions, guarantees, applicable shariah requirements, software license agreements, outsourcing agreements and operational documents.
- Supervising the conduct ligation
- Advising of relevant legal investment compliance and regulatory requirements in the jurisdictions in which it operates including Labor / employment laws.
- Providing business to the business units

Requirements

- Law degree from an Arab University or Europe/USA University
- Minimum 7 years of legal experience working for a Saudi law or Saudi financial Institution (experience in investment banking preferred).
- Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to effectively deal with all levels within the company, including senior management
- Comprehensive knowledge of banking/investment transactions and documentation
- Qualified as a lawyer in an Arab Country or common law jurisdiction (e.g. Europe, USA, Australia).
