Legal Counsel

Job description / Role

Charterhouse is working with a prominent leader within the UAE food & beverage market. Our client is looking to recruit an In-House Counsel who is a specialist in franchising and commercial leasing matter to join their Senior Management team.

You will proactively manage the provisions of legal services at operational level offering advice, guidance and counsel whilst ensuring that legal risk is appropriately managed both internally and externally. In addition, you will oversee and be proactively involved in the negotiation, drafting and settlement of a variety of franchises, leases and real estate.

Requirements

The successful candidate should have at least 5 to 8 years PQE with proven knowledge and capability. You should have post admission experience mainly in the areas of franchising, leasing, real estate and general property law. It is essential you have the ability to work independently and make decisions taking into account commercial factors. You should be able to use initiative, be pro-active as well as solutions focused. You should also be fully bilingual in Arabic and English. Our client has expressed a preference for candidates already based in the UAE.
