Legal Counsel - Free Zone Company - 8–10yrs PQE
A unique opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Lawyer to join an international free zone group of companies as their sole Counsel for their Dubai operation. This is a broad advisory role requiring excellent knowledge and expertise in a wide range of International corporate and banking matters.
You will be responsible for managing and negotiating with external clients and vendors regarding contractual, legal and commercial issues including tenders, life-of-contract events and pre-signing negotiations. You will review contract conditions and participate in the preparation of commercial strategies for key proposals. In addition you will liaise with banks and maintain relationship with bankers, meeting bank compliance and regulations.
Within the business you will be expected to develop strong working relationship with all internal stakeholders and manage compliance of law, policies and procedures.
Requirements
This is a rare and exciting in-house opportunity for an individual with 8-10yrs PQE, gained within the private practice, banking industry or within a similar in-house environment. You will gain exposure to challenging and meaningful projects across a number of business lines delivering to a variety of end clients and markets. Exposure to International financing, project financing, loans, leasing, export financing, LCs / trade finance would be advantageous.
