Legal Counsel

Job description / Role

With continued growth in the Middle East and Africa, this multinational has created the position of Legal Counsel to support its operations across the Region.

As the sole Counsel based in Dubai, you will have a great deal of autonomy in your role on a day-to-day basis and will report to the Legal Director in the UK. Your work will involve drafting and negotiating contracts, liaising with government entities as well as ensuring risk and compliance policy is adhered to across the company. In addition, you will instruct external counsel as well as senior management across more than 30 countries.

Requirements

• At least three year’s PQE
• Common law qualification preferred
• Excellent English drafting abilities
• Arabic and/ or French language proficiency would is highly desirable
• Willingness to travel

This role would suit a legal professional keen to work in a professional, dynamic and flexible environment. A four day week or reduced working hours are a real possibility for the right candidate.
