The RoleThe RoleReal Estate and Property Development Firm Location: Qatar Excellent Expatriate Salary Package Our client, a Qatar real estate and property development firm, has created this exceptional opportunity for a Legal Director to lead, direct and manage their legal requirements for their firm specifically in commercial law across a holding group company. Candidates must possess strong international law knowledge also as the firm has offices across Qatar, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and the UK. Representing the Client / Owners interests on all legal issues, the responsibilities for this role comprise: Contracts Preparation of commercial contracts. Provision of legal advice and counsel in matters of contractual rights and obligations that might become the subject matter of future disputes and litigation. Review contract information and administration documents and issues. Ensure the firm acts within Qatar Law provisions. Preparation and maintenance of employee contracts to ensure that employee contracts comply with Qatar Labour Law. Legal Policy Advice Provide legal advice and guidance to Senior Managers. Prepare legal opinions on matters relating to the implementation of the Statutory Instruments of the Court Negotiate, review, advise and draft Agreements and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Act as an expert in acquisition, contracts, procurement and procurement integrity, procurement fraud, program management and government information practice. Provide legal advice in employees grievance and conflicts. |
RequirementsRequirementsAttributes we seek include: Law Degree from an accredited institution accompanied by a license to practice law with a minimum of 5 years legal experience as in-house or private legal counsel specifically for a holding company. Experience in both share holding companies and group holding companies highly desirable. 10+ years experience in law with at least 5 years experience on an international level. In-depth understanding of Common Law and contracts and commercial transactions. Superior communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to achieve results and drive to succeed. Highly effective language, communication and presentation skills. Legal expertise in constitutional and administrative procedural processes, negotiation and settlement of disputes, acquisition and contracts, procurement integrity and fraud, preparation of legal opinions, correspondence, legislation, and contracts. Must be bilingual in Arabic and English. |
