Job description / Role
1. Draft, advise, review and negotiate core business agreements mainly related to the property development, real estate related projects, Shopping mall related transactions, banking related documents and any other agreement and transaction of AGP to conclude the relevant business within the legal requirements, to serve and protect the interest of AGP.
2. Provide legal opinion to management and various departments related to disputes, claims and potential court cases, and managing disputes with third parties.
3. Represent and defend all leasing cases at the Dubai leasing committee to resolve the issues to ensure protection of the AGP interests. Responsible for filing legal cases against defaulter clients and follow up proceedings and attending legal cases at the Attorney General's Office and Police departments.
4. Draft all relevant legal documents for new companies set up related to AGP including memorandum of Association, Service Agent agreement and any other legal documentation in relation with the company set up or management, and protection of the Intellectual Properties/trademarks etc... related to AGP.
5. Working closely with Al Ghurair Investment ("AGI") legal department personnel on legal matters as required as being part of such department, and reporting regularly to AGI Group VP Legal as required and as per AGI Group Legal Policy and Procedures.
6. Any other legal related matters as required.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Law, Master would be an advantage
Relevant Experience:
8 to 10 years of relevant experience in similar large business (commercial, civil, property development, construction, real estate and shopping malls.
UAE experience is advantageous
Preferably Arabic Speaker
