Job description / Role
1. Draft, advise upon, review and negotiate various types of agreements, documents, letters, deeds (if required), memorandums for various business units within the Group - with the ability to identify and hedge risks, preserve / limit liability and protect the interests of the Group and owners.
2. Review documents and prepare reports to senior management on various matters. For example, report on a potential contentious matter or review & report on legal risks in an acquisition.
3. Advise on structuring of acquisitions, joint ventures, incorporation or regularisation of entities.
4. Proactively manage compliance of business units to the Group policies and procedures.
5. Manage and consistently evaluate the performance of external legal service providers to ensure quality of work, charging of fees, adherence to letters of engagement and compliance with instructions.
6. Draft all types of relevant legal documents for new companies set up including memorandum of Association, Service Agent agreement and any other legal documentation in relation with the company set up or management.
7. Prepare and effectively be able to present presentations on subjects related to legal issues.
8. Independently represent group legal department in internal meetings with Group departments or Group business units.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Law, Master would be an advantage
Relevant Experience:
8 to 10 years of relevant experience in similar large business
UAE experience is advantageous
Preferably Arabic Speaker
