Employment: Full Time

The Angola Region, Lifting Authority provides an independent perspective of Health and Safety risk, facilitates continual improvement in Health and Safety performance through the engine of OMS and delivers pragmatic solutions in partnership with operating teams and joint venture partners to systematically manage risk and realize opportunities for all mechanical lifting operations. The scope of activity includes drilling, completions, production and well intervention operations as well as relative project activity.
The Region, Lifting Authority delivers primarily through their technical knowledge and experience in lifting and personal safety; leadership skills; and their ability to perform through the relevant local OMS Elements of Operating.
The Region, Lifting Authority will functionally report and be guided by the Segment Lifting Authority and formally report to Regional H&S Director.

The Lifting Technical Authority will be the focal point for all heavy equipment related lifting operations in the region. The role is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operations are conducted at all levels.

The scope of role is
• Offshore and onshore Lifting
• Offshore Operational Drilling and Well Service lifting
• Crane Operations for construction, operation, repair and maintenance
• Subsea lifting, installation, repair and recovery using cranes and winches including heave compensation systems, diving and ROV operations
• In country team development, mentoring and succession planning

Requirements

-Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Science

Minimum 8 years working experience in lifting operations or consultancy.Excellent working knowledge of national and international legislation, standards and best practices.Experience direct supervision of lifting operations.The ability to network and influence others. Proven heath and safety leadership. Knowledge of Lifting equipment and accessories and testing requirements.Proven knowledge of legislation relation to lifting operations and equipment.Willingness to travel.
