Lighting Designer

Job description / Role

A well-established professional independent lighting design and supply company offering both end user bespoke lighting products and solutions to end users is currently seeking to further expand its Dubai operation with a mid-level lighting designer able to design and manage projects through to completion. You will be working on offering solutions for challenging and unique projects throughout the Middle East & Asia including high end, retail, commercial, residential and Government projects.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the concept development, visualization, calculations and design development of the companys specialist lighting design projects
- Being able to provide lighting calculations
- Preparing renderings, drawings and specification
- Producing project related correspondence and reports.
- Attending site meetings, presenting creative design solutions to the client, taking on and managing projects and making commercial decisions to assist in the growth plans of the business.

Requirements

- Able to sketch and show proficiency in CAD and Adobe Creative Solutions together with Dialux/Relux.
- A sound understanding of lighting design, providing lighting visuals and calculations
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programmes, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Lighting calculation software as Dialux and Revit.
- Able to brief internal specialists on specifications of designs and coordinating projects between designers and engineers
- Knowledge of other computer software, visual animation and graphic skills are welcome
- A background in architecture, interior design or industrial design is preferred.
