The Role


The Role


Accountable for:

• Developing the Global liquidity risk management policies and framework for the Bank.
• Developing and implementing liquidity risk measurement methods including scenario analysis & stress-testing.
• Calculating and reporting the Bank’s liquidity risk exposure against set internal parameters.
• Leading the effort of implementing the Basel II requirements for liquidity risk.

Key Roles:
• Analyze the requirements of Basel II for liquidity risk, and manage the implementation as required by the local and international regulators.
• Develop and ensure proper implementation of liquidity risk management global risk definitions and policies in line with the corporate strategy.
• Assist in the establishment of local ALM policies.
• Assist in the development of local liquidity risk processes and procedures.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new/amended products and services, operations and/or systems in compliance with the liquidity risk policy and framework.
• Develop, test, validate and implement liquidity risk measurement methods including scenario analysis and stress testing.
• Establish and maintain group consolidated liquidity risk limit/ladders and tolerance levels.
• Perform regular review of the Bank's exposure to liquidity risk and recommend actions to ALCO.
• Generate regular consolidated liquidity risk reports and assist the countries in producing local liquidity risk reports (for internal as well as for regulatory purposes).
• Enhance liquidity risk management and Basel II awareness across the Bank through providing courses and technical material.

Requirements


Requirements


Experience: over 10 years experience in Market Risk or Treasury in a leading international Bank, of which 3 years in a similar position.

Skills:
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
• Advanced analytical and PC skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with senior management.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Solid knowledge of lending practices, Treasury, Investment products & Basel II
