The RoleThe RoleResponsibilities · Assisting with robust logistics solutions and providing recommendations for periodic reporting to our client whilst under supervision of the Logistics Consultant · Assisting with implementing the methodology to improve our client's logistics overview · Assisting with timely reporting of logistics data or analysis to our internal or external stakeholders in order to achieve key milestones · Taking part in the development of our logistics methodology and reporting mechanisms in accordance with primary areas of responsibility (transportation) · Able to understanding or have a wider appreciation of principles and the concepts of the logistics relating to transportation · Assist with facilitation of meetings with internal or external stakeholder · Reporting directly to Logistics Consultant · Any other duties as delegated by Logistics Consultant The Individual · A self starter who needs minimal supervision to fulfil their primary role & responsibilities · An enthusiastic team player · Extremely personable & who can be sensitive to other cultural needs and their requirements · Highly driven & self-motivated · Ability to be discrete if handling sensitive documentation or material · Utmost levels of honesty & integrity · Willingness to remain flexible and adapt according to change |
RequirementsRequirementsRequirements Qualifications · Role related degree or higher (logistics, construction or engineering) Essential Criteria · 5-10 yrs experience on large scale infrastructure and/or transportation projects, knowledge of logistics controls and processes. · Experience in supply chain distribution · Experience in transport planning from point of origin to point of use Desirable Criteria · Ability to demonstrate working knowledge within a logistics domain on large and/or complex multi-discipline projects · Experience related to movement of materials from point of origin to point of use adopting effective traffic management solutions, and efficient fleet operation and controls · Understanding of strategic logistics planning & transportation planning · Implementation of operational controls of distribution systems would be advantageous |
