Logistics Assistant

Job description / Role

- Deploy the transportation vehicles/buses to pick up and drop off the security staff from their accommodation and to the client premises and back as per the set schedule and route.
- Support in determining the transport needs and schedule required for transporting the security guards to client site.
- Support in giving the new security staff an orientation and allocating the security staff to the accommodations as required.
- Maintain and continuously update a database on the staff accommodations (where each staff is living), vehicles and distributed staff uniforms.
- Conduct periodic check on the staff accommodations ensuring that they are well maintained to ensure the wellbeing of all staff living within the housing facilities.
- Liaise and coordinate with General Services Department on the maintenance of transportation vehicles and accommodation ensuring that all required activities handled in a timely manner to avoid any disruptions in the security services operations.
- Prepare status reports highlighting any major issues and recommended solution to the Logistics Officer for review and action.
- Execute administrative and logistics tasks at the request of the Logistics Officer

Requirements

- College Diploma in Business Administration or any other relevant degree
- Two years of relevant work experience in a logistical role within a security services environment
- Scheduling and Planning Skills
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Computer literacy: MS windows applications (word processing, excel, spreadsheets)
- Fluent in English and Arabic

- Transportation planning and deployment
- Security staff accommodation allocation and monitoring
- Speed and accuracy of response to queries and issues internally and externally
- External customer service satisfaction
