Logistics & Distribution Manager – FMCG

A leading world class FMCG business with expertise in the Middle East market, and a rich history in quality service, innovation and continuing growth composed of diversified workforce is looking for a technically qualified and experienced Logistics & Distribution Manager with extensive exposure in logistics, warehousing and distribution management.

Job Overview:
•Managing all logistics related projects such as warehouse closing, warehouse set up, transfer of stock, redesign of distribution and IS implementation.
•Leading the service providers in managing warehouses as well as the outbound and inbound logistics flows.
•Optimizing logistics flows and costs and controlling the freight and warehouse budget.
•Ensuring that the site logistics teams are working according to the predefined work procedures and to the business standards.
•Supporting the purchasing team during negotiation of contracts with the service providers.
•Participating in internal and external warehouse audits.
•Setting standards for labelling and packaging of palletised products, stacking restrictions and loading methodology.
•Working pro-actively with Warehouse Supervisors and Site Operations Leaders in improving, reviewing and implementing logistics standard procedures.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

•Minimum 8 years leading experience in Logistics, Distribution and Warehouse Management, in a multinational FMCG sector.
•Must have Degree qualification, preferably Supply Chain, Logistics or any related discipline.
•Previous experience of team management in Supply Chain and Logistics.
•Excellent analytical, logical and problem solving skills.
•Motivation, aptitude and accuracy for working with computers and figures.
•Superior level communication and interpersonal skills.
•Preference will be extended to SAUDI or EUROPEAN nationals.
The ideal candidate must have a transferable Iqama and currently residing in Riyadh or willingness to relocate, if located in other part of KSA.
