The RoleThe RoleLogistics & Inventory Manager – ACE Hardware Dubai Festival City ACE is one of the biggest hardware and lifestyle retail franchises in UAE, that Al-Futtaim company holds. For nearly eight decades, ACE has been a part of the American landscape and today has over 5,000 stores in the USA and hundreds worldwide. The product range comprises DIY, hardware, electrical, home and garden, furniture, camping and barbecue, pet and decorating products, with the emphasis on lifestyle.Based in our Regional Head Office in Dubai Festival City; we now have an opportunity for an experienced Logistics and Inventory Manager. Reporting to the General Manager of ACE Hardware, you wil be responsible for the following - * To achieve the overall distribution and warehousing budget, with the objective of generating maximum profit for the business. * Ensure that the Logistics function operates professionally and provides support to achieve the company's key objectives on sales, margins and stock levels (store and DC). * Ascertaining that an effective supply chain is in place both in terms of service levels and cost efficiencies in accordance with changing business needs. * To ensure that all orders placed are flowed into the business in line with agreed DC weekly intakes. * To ensure that stock levels are optimised, stock-turn targets are achieved and through an effective supply chain, product availability levels are maximized. |
RequirementsRequirementsIn this management opportunity you will bring with you a wealth of logistics / supply chain knowledge preferably gained within a retail environment. As an effective communicator you will have an excellent track record of developing longstanding relationships and have the ability to lead and motivate a culturally diverse team. You must be able to display the following qualifications - * Graduate, with an additional qualification in Supply Chain Management / Logistics and / or Membership of the Institute of Logistics (UK or equivalent).* 7-10 years experience in Supply Chain . * Candidates who have gained an exposure to SAP are very much encouraged to apply. |
