Job description / Role
Logistics Manager, Bridge & Tunnel - Qatar
- Develop and implement a project wide logistics strategy and plan for the programme
- Assist Project Teams with logistics planning to include
- Attend and organise logistics and team meetings as required
- Develop presentations for Client and Programme Directors to provide information on the logistics
- Meet with contractors and subcontractors as required.
- Review contractors logistics plans
- Assess Contractors logistics strategy for both pre and post award phases
- Develop material and manpower supply chain strategy for the programme
- Arrange visits to fabrication yards, factory tests, quarries or any other manufacturing facility for the programme
- Work closely with HSE staff on welfare and accommodation facilities
- Reviewing contractor security arrangements
- Liaising with local authorities and third party interfaces
- Working with Traffic engineers and project teams to implement traffic diversions ensuring contractor maintain sufficient access for materials and equipment
- Working with Client and contractors to ensure that signage and hoarding maintained
Requirements
- Degree qualified
- Minimum 10 years post degree experience
- Mega programme experience
- Preferably regional experience
- Strong skills in both oral and written English
- Commercial and contracts management experience
- Creation and management of a commercial and logistics team, including tool and processes
