Job description / Role
Our company is bidding on a UN proposal in Somalia and seeking numerous candidates who would be interested in this opportunity. Services for this contract include the provision of day-to-day catering/food service; basic medical services; laundry; and cleaning, maintenance and general upkeep of all camp facilities, which collectively house several hundred residents in four locations in Somalia.
Responsibilities will include basic cleaning and laundry services for all the residents; basic furnishing of rooms and offices; standard, routine maintenance of vehicles stationed in each of the above-noted four camps; ad upon demand, basic construction works to improve the functioning of each camp; and 24/7 security of each camp
The Logistics Manager will provide oversight for all logistics and support services at several sites. This will include movement both inside and outside the country of operation. The candidate must have experience operating in foreign countries that lack large-scale infrastructure.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Inventory Management/ Asset management.
