The Role


The Role


The duties of the Logistics Officer include:
- Procure goods, components and parts according to established purchasing policies and procedures
- Liaise with a variety of parties, including suppliers of raw materials, manufactures, retailers and, increasingly consumers
- Work with suppliers to negotiate and achieve best pricing
- Keep an updated database of suppliers and price list in the region
- Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors on delivery and payment terms
- Be responsible for inventory control
- Receive of incoming goods and materials
- Handle Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders
- Perform Ad-hoc administration duties assigned

Skills and Attributes ;

- Degree/Diploma Holder with 1-2 years of experience
- Proactive and able to work independently
- Ability to work well in changing, entrepreneurial environments
- Team oriented personality
- Outgoing, flexible and proactive personality
- Proven ability to operate under pressure
- Strong oral and written communication skills
