Job Overview

The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for executing all processes and procedures related to shipments, distribution and export.

Main Responsibilities

•Participate actively in the weekly dispatch planning meeting.
•Execute the following operations: orders readiness, orders shipping, and distribution activities.
•Prints picking lists, delivery notes, invoices and prepare all required documents to make the dispatch and distribution activities.
•Update late orders reason codes on a daily basis.
•Prepare the bulk tankers checklists, plan their deliveries, communicate the checklist to Production and ensure the bulk tankers dispatch plan is executed on time.
•Execute all the procedures and tasks under the process “Manage Deliveries and Invoices – Ship & Bill”.
•Actively execute and control dispatch and invoicing activities in a timely and accurate fashion.
•Work with 3rd party transport companies and plan shipments with them to meet customers’ orders on time.
•Works with the other logistics team members collectively, through the weekly dispatch planning meeting and other means to manage Nalco Saudi’s Fleet of trucks, bulk tankers and to ensure the fleet readiness to deliver and fulfil all customers’ requirements.
•Always seek cost effective alternatives to distribute Nalco Saudi’s products, including liaising with delivery contractors.
•Promote safe work practices within logistics group and follow Nalco Saudi’s Health and Safety procedures.
•Execute the process “Return Material Authorization” by returning shipments whenever approved RMA is in place.
•Stays abreast of all export regulatory requirements, as assigned.
•Execute all tasks and activities related to export, as assigned.
•Review the open sales orders report on a daily basis and ensure that either the orders for the assigned customers have proper plan for shipment or proper communication to address the relevant issue is initiated. Proactively alert the department manager on expected issues.
•Participate in the development, review and update as necessary to all procedures relevant to Logistics.
•Execute rush orders requests along customer service by proactively aligning with supply chain resources.
•Performs other duties as mutually agreed with CS & Logistics Manager.

Requirements

Qualifications / Skills

•Diploma (or equivalent)
•Min 3 – 5 years experience in logistics, fleet management and export
•Fluent in English
•Good problem solving skill
•Have a good history of working in a team environment
