Logistics and Safety Manager

Job description / Role

My client is a leading Saudi Arabian construction company who have an excellent reputation and are currently working on a number of high profile projects. They are currently looking to recruit a Logistics and Safety manager to work on a large construction project. The role will involve managing and assigning logistics ,procurement and warehousing activities to ensure that the project is completed on time.

- You will be coordinating with consultants to make sure there is a smooth flow of operations, reduce lead times.
- Follow up on procurement and warehousing matters and coordinate with sub-contractors to ensure Just in time deliveries.
- Manage the security team.
- Manage tower cranes and operators, carry out tower crane inspections and prepare daily checklist.
- Arrange the supply of plant, tools and equipment and daily inspections.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics.
- Deal with 3 PL including warehousing.

Requirements

Candidates should have a degree or equivalent in engineering or a related field and must have worked in a sililar logistics role on mega construction projects in the Middle East. candidates must have expertise in health and safety standards and the operation and maintenance of construction plant, machinery and cranes. Candidates must have excellent written and spoken English and Arabic language skills and be able to work with a large, multi national work forces.
