Logistics and Warehouse Manager

Job description / Role

Our client, a multinational high tech technology business, is looking for Logistics and Warehouse Manager to manage their operations in Qatar.

Reporting to the GM the Logistics and Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the development of a comprehensive Logistics strategy.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage the end to end logistics operation on a daily basis
- Ensure that the department arranges all air and sea shipments to customers
- Monitor and implement cost saving methods
- Stock and inventory management
- Managing overall control and supervision of entire supply chain function.
- Negotiating with various vendors and managing related Purchase Orders of various departments.
- Purchase planning, purchasing forecasts according to sales forecasts and stock levels.
- Handle the warehouse
- Identify and implement best in class technology, infrastructure suitable to the scope and size of the business along with disciplines that underlie a supply chain operation.
- Assist finance department for reconciliation and monthly confirmations.
- Manage environmental as well as health and safety issues for the business
- Participate in writing the policies and procedures for the above
- Implement health and safety standards across the business

Requirements

- University Degree in Business or related field
- Previous experience in logistics and supply chain management
- Experience in supply chain management technology
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Experience in planning, assessing and implementing change
- Excellent communication skills- written and verbal
