MEP Construction Maanger

Job description / Role

Our client is a leading South Korean EPC contractor with over 35 years experience. They have a large portfolio of projects of Saudi Arabia. They are urgently need of a Western MEP Construction Manager for a high rise project in Riyadh.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- You must schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
- You must determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.
- You must be able to Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
- You must interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.
- You must prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- You must direct and supervise workers.
- You must study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
- You must be able to select, contract, and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of MEP works.
- Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects.
- You must prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports.
- You must develop and implement quality control programs.
- You must take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
- You must communicate with a range of people including the client, subcontractors, suppliers, the public and the workforce to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
- You must confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals
- You must be able to plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
- You must investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
- You must evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans, using computers.

Requirements

- The successful candidate shall be qualified with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 12+ post graduate experience in design, site supervision, and construction management of Metro and residential projects.
- Transferable Iqama is preferred.
