Employment: Full Time

MEP Coordinator - Grade A Main contractor

Our client are currently engaged in major building project and have an urgent requirement for an MEP Coordinator.

Ensuring that the project MEP work is carried out in accordance with the required quality, cost and time constraints.
- Coordination and administration of MEP related material, equipment and drawing submittals in accordance to the specifications.
- Follow up closely procurement schedule and confirmations of delivery for material and equipment.
- Ensuring that MEP work is executed on site in accordance with the contract drawings, specifications, agreed procedures and method statements.
- Review, control and approval of MEP subcontractors work procedures and method statements.
- Carry out inspections on site and ensure that the installation is in accordance with the specification.
- Liaison with the Engineers MEP Supervisory Engineer, inspectors and relevant staff.
- Ensuring that the MEP subcontractor provides and adheres to the necessary control documentation in an orderly and organized way.
- Ensure that As Built Drawings and O&M Manuals and related documentation are prepared, reviewed, submitted and approved in a timely manner and in accordance with contract requirements.
- Checking that MEP valuations correspond with progress and checking of variations.
- Produce a report of performance of MEP-contractors.
- Preparation of coordinated reflected ceiling and builders work drawings.
- Arrange for timely builders works for smooth functioning of all site activities.
- Attend design coordination meetings with Project Management team, Consultants and other contractors as required.

Requirements

- 10 - 15 years of work experience in the relevant field.
- Previous experience of having worked in leading main contracting firms
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Should be aware of Civil Defense requirements.
- Should be based in Qatar currently and have experience with Qatar local authorities.
- Have an Engineering degree in MEP.
