Job description / Role
Prepares electrical system designs and specifications for facilities used on wastewater pump stations and treatment plants and related process plant in coordination with other disciplines.
Assists with the preparation of presentations, design reports, specifications, calculations, drawings, tender documents, procurement packages and cost estimates for FEED/EPC, design build and design, bid-build contracts.
Supervises junior engineers and CADD.
Requirements
Candidate must have/be:
Degree in Electrical Engineering
At least 5 years relevant design experience.
At least 2 years work experience in Middle East.
Solid understanding of electrical building services design principles as applied to industrial and process facilities.
Experience in preparing designs for either municipal, industrial or petrochemical projects.
Conversant in the use of engineering software packages covering single line diagrams, load schedules, small power and lighting layouts, fire detection, ELV systems and electrical equipment selection e.g. luminaires, circuit breakers and cables.
Experience designing safety and protective earthing systems and lightning protection.
Thorough knowledge of relevant local and international standards and codes of practice with particular reference to NEMA, NEC, EN and IEC standards.
Understanding of quality and safety aspects of the design development process.
