Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Objectives:
Oversee and manage mechanical, electrical and plumbing works involving the design, construction, maintenance and inspection.

The vacancy available are preferably for profiles focused both Design and Execution of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing installations.

Main responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and throughput.
- Developing a project specification with colleagues, often including those from other engineering disciplines.
- Developing, testing and evaluating theoretical designs.
- Discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers.
- Making sure a product can be made again reliably and will perform consistently in specified operating environments.
- Managing projects using engineering principles and techniques.
- Planning and designing new production processes.
- Producing details of specifications and outline designs.
- Recommending modifications following prototype test results.
- Using research, analytic, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modelling and computer-aided design.
- Considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints.
- Working with other professionals, within and outside the engineering sector.
- Monitoring and commissioning plant and systems.

Subordinates: MEP Foreman
Other interactions: QA&QC Engineers & HSE Officers/Engineers

Requirements

- BS.c Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- At least 4-5 Years of experience in construction in GCC countries.
- Senior MEP Engineer must have between 8-10 Years of experience in construction preferably in GCC countries.

Soft Skills and Personality traits:
- Complex problem solving.
- Critical thinking.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
- Familiar with International Codes & Standards: ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers), SMACNA (Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association), etc.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
- MS Office knowledge.

Language Fluency: Proficient English is a must.
