The RoleThe RoleAs a provider of multi-disciplined technical services to the built environment, Atkins is committed to design excellence in the delivery of first class solutions which combine innovation, imagination and best practice. We require a Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Inspector to review and approve contractor submittals, resolve technical issues arising and ensure compliance with contract requirements. Responsibilities •Carry out inspection of works in progress. •Ensure contractor compliance with contract specifications and approved shop drawings. •Review of shop drawing and material submittals. •Monitor and report contractor progress and all activities. |
RequirementsRequirementsTechnical Competencies Essential •Degree qualified – minimum requirement of •Minimum of 5 years experience of Electrical, Mechanical or Plumbing Engineering •Must have integrity, be flexible and proactive •Must demonstrate ability to act independently as part of a team Desirable •Understanding of British, American and International design standards •Reasonable knowledge of AutoCAD, and MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Behavioural Competencies Essential •Good communication skills in written and spoken English essential •Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with clients is essential •Good team player, able to communicate effectively with colleagues |
