We currently require a MEP Operations Manager to join a vastly growing, family run Contracting Company in Saudi Arabia. Having recently won several projects, an MEP Operations manager vacancy has arisen to be responsible for the day to day operations of the MEP division and primarily build a strong and stable team who are fit for winning future projects. ROLE OVERVIEW:
- Head office based in Riyadh
- Reporting to the General Manager and Chairman
- Directly responsible for the optimal performance (timely completion, with the required quality standards, and within budget) of the companys MEP works, whether executed internally or through subcontractors.
- Managing a team of Project Managers
- Projects cover Schools, Hospitals, Universities, Laboratories, General Buildings

THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE WILL BE TO:
- Delivers MEP packages within the agreed budget
- Ensures the effective and efficient planning of MEP projects, including the allocation and utilization of resources (financial, human, equipment, etc.)
- Brings the required technical expertise in MEP in order to support other processes requiring specialized technical input
- Ensures the effective kickoff and closing of projects, and as needed acts as the project manager until a permanent project manager is appointed to the project
- Develops and supervise the implementation of operational policies and procedures within MEP operations
- Inputs on and resolves difficult technical issues
- Ensures maximum coordination between MEP operations and Civil operations
- Maximizes value-engineering inputs on MEP-related matters
- Ensures adequate support to Estimation for the pricing of MEP packages
- Ensures strong collaboration with MEP Engineering for the estimation of change orders, where a design component is involved
- Ensures strong coordination with the Procurement functions for MEP packages
- Manages MEP subcontractors, and controls their performance
- Identifies and tracks KPIs for MEP operations, and devises plans and initiatives for improvement
- Provides support for the professional development of direct reports

Requirements

- Work experience: 15 + years of MEP operations management experience.
- GCC experience is a strong plus
- Academic qualifications: Bachelors of Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Language proficiency: Fluency in English is required; Arabic language proficiency is preferred
