The RoleThe RoleMEP Quantity Surveyor – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia The Company Our client, a multinational engineering company is looking for an MEP Quantity Surveyor to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and to manage all contractual and cost related aspects of building projects (HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing) from the initial calculations to the final figures of a large scale multi million dollar mixed use commercial MEP project. The Role Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or its equivalent qualification. 5 years experience in a similar role in large scale MEP projects. Must have mechanical and electrical experience as well. Responsibilities: Perform risk and value analysis, monthly project progress valuations as well as cost control. Developing knowledge relevant to contract conditions and their applications. Understanding the implications of quality assurance and quality control. Prepare tender and contract documents including bill of quantities. Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations. RequirementsRequirementsRequirements • A Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent from an internationally recognized university is essential; • 10 years extensive post graduate experience is required to allow independent working & the guidance of junior staff • Demonstrable experience on your CV of your ability to perform unassisted a number of the quantity surveying duties listed above • Experience of managing junior and other quantity surveying staff and of taking full responsibility for project progress and completion • Experience of a Senior Quantity Surveying role on +100M projects • Experience of major mechanical & electrical projects to international standards relating to large scale mixed use MEP projects • Experience of working for a large or well recognised MEP company • In depth experience of HVAC, Plumbing and Electrics • Expert understanding of MEP installations & related infrastructure • IT proficient with extensive exposure to spreadsheets |
