Select Auto is an Al Futtaim Automotive company. Offering premium mobility and material handling solutions for international organizations and governments, Select Auto caters to the requirements of a diverse client base for the leasing, sale and maintenance of light vehicles, heavy equipment and power generation equipment in expeditionary environments.

The Operators key responsibility is to operate the equipment in accordance with the clients taskings & within the equipment's capabilities as defined by the manufacturers guidelines and in accordance with company policy. Maintain the RTCH, Forklifts, Wheel loaders or other equipment type as specified, according to the operating manual and company procedures. Once the operator has been tasked they will be expected to work unsupervised in a variety of environments adhering to all health and safety and governmental regulations.

The key accountabilities for this role are:

* Carry out survey of all loads/slings/shackle to execution and formulate a plan to include all necessary considerations when moving / lifting the materials (e.g., conducting full pre-work checks, inspections, and cleaning and ensure the machinery is correctly configured, including the inspection and use of certified rigging equipment and the reporting of rigging which requires load certifying due to expired load cert date.
* Ensure all operations are carried out in line with machine capabilities defined in the operator's manual and according to automatic safe load indicator warning and commands, and government regulations, and health and safety procedures.
* Maintain machinery, perform general maintenance including first and last parade checks and maintain wearing components (cutting edges and teeth) carry out all safety checks, and undertake physical activities in order to prepare and execute the orders.
* Coordinate with supervisor and customer to provide scheduled lifts.
* Clean and maintain machinery in accordance with manufactures recommendations standards ensuring the equipment is fully serviceable and within mandatory requirements.
* Perform other duties as required, including verifying the accuracy of associated records.

Requirements

The MHE Operator needs to have the following skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications:

* 5 years experience as a RTCH/Forklifts and Wheel Loaders operator including operating 30 ton forklifts and RTCHs up to 45 tons.
* Experience working in remote and hazardous locations.
* Experience in working in an adverse, multicultural environment.
* Experience working with a medium to high security threat.
* Must be able to read, write and understand English.
* Must work with a customer focus.
* Be a self-starter.
* Must be able to operate machinery in a safe and responsible manner.
* Regular domestic traveling throughout Afghanistan and Iraq.
* Requirements for Visa and Security clearance.
* Must be able to work as part of a team.
* Have a positive approach and a willingness to make a difference.
* Be calm confident and capable of responding to unplanned events.
* Have a high degree of motivation and be expected to work with minimum supervision.
