The RoleThe RoleROLE PURPOSE Support all activities of the Maintenance Department. Provide technical support for both fixed and rotating reliability programs. Sponsor Maintenance Department improvement plans and projects. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. PRACTICES AND PROCEDURES Document and maintain practices, and procedures that ensure safe, incident-free, reliable, cost effective plant operations and maintenance activities. 2. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT Support the department training programs to ensure all plant personnel work in a safe, incident-free manner. Develop practices, procedures and training programs for plant operations and maintenance. Help coach and mentor plant personnel in the safe, incident-free reliable operation and maintenance of the Nylon Plant. Help ensure personnel understand and follow all plant safe work processes, Plant Tenets of Operations, and their roles and responsibilities for executing the plant Operational Excellence Management System practices and procedures. 3. CONTINUOUS RELIABILITY IMPROVEMENT Provide support for plant improvement teams. Identify and track efficiency and cost data associated with all plant activities. Develop and communicate strategic improvement plans. Ensure improvement plans are aligned with and integrated into plant budgeting processes. 4. STRATEGIC PLANNING AND COMMUNICATIONS Support the preparation of manpower plans, expense budgets, and capital budgets that ensure the efficient execution of maintenance and turnaround activities. 5. CONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT Help audit and provide oversight and coordination of contract personnel to ensure they work safely and provide a high quality of service to plant operations groups. 6. DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT Ensure critical Department policies, practices and procedures are documented and maintained in accordance with the plant Operational Excellence System Standards and Specifications. Carry out document management and retention activities as scheduled and in a timely manner. OPERATING CONTEXT, BOUNDARIES AND DECISION MAKING The job holder provides support for all plant maintenance activities. They will support the Nylon Conversion Project through design, owner’s cost procurement, commissioning and start up activities. Internally works closely with all groups to plan and prioritize maintenance activities. Supports plant improvement teams with data and research. Externally has contact with counterparts in SChem, DuPont, and equipment manufacturers to identify and adopt best practices applicable to PCC plant equipment operations and maintenance activities. Decisions: Helps support decisions relating to plant operations and maintenance scheduling and prioritization. Makes recommendations and develops proposals for changes in procedures to support best practices and improve the efficiency and results of Plant activities. |
RequirementsRequirementsQUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Qualifications: Must have a minimum of a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Training: Must have knowledge and experience with chemical plant operations and maintenance practices and procedures. Requires experience with equipment monitoring and executing plant reliability programs. Experience developing and managing small projects for chemical plants is a plus. Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written English communications skills. Proficient in MS-Office programs. Good interpersonal and mentoring skills; good multi-tasking skills. Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years of Plant maintenance and/or reliability engineering experience in an chemical plant environment. |

PCC is developing a state-of-the-art Greenfield Industrial Park to include the following manufacturing plants: Nylon 6,6 Plant, Nylon Compounding Plant, HDPE Pipe Plant, Drip Irrigation Plant, Automotive Parts Plant, Medical Specialties and Pharmacological Supplies Plant, Electrical Parts Plant, and Complex Caps and Closures Plant. The Industrial Park will be one of the first facilities constructed in the Jubail II industrial area of Saudi Arabia. We will be hiring for all positions starting 2011 through 2013.
