Job description / Role
Prime Objective:
To oversee maintenance work and to maintain the safety of equipment and facilities within the production site.
Key Tasks:
1. Maintain a safe and clean working environment
2. Simple maintenance of buildings and infrastructure.
3. Light / daily maintenance checks on fork-lift trucks, rope hoist and gantry crane etc. Specialised repairs are contracted out.
4. Safe use of power tools and lifting equipment.
5. Required to maintain equipment files and records of maintenance and repairs.
6. Control and motivate a staff of 1 or 2 persons.
QA/QC
1. Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Management and Environmental Health & Safety Management Systems.
2. To undertake any additional responsibilities or duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or manager commensurate within the position.
Requirements
• Required to be hands-on, practical and in good health condition. To work within and cooperate with a small team of persons of all nationalities. Good record of on the job attendance.
• Previous experience in the Ready Mix Concrete, Chemical or related industries is required as much of the equipment is common.
• Practical experience in maintenance and repair of electric motors, pumps, gear-boxes, screw conveyors, sand and powder sieving machines, cement silos, belt conveyors and hoppers, storage tanks for liquids.
• Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems and low levels of automation.
• Knowledge of ISO / OHSAS systems.
• Working knowledge of English language
