The RoleThe RoleSupervises maintenance staff by determining workloads and schedules; develops, interprets and implements policies and procedures; evaluates staff and makes hiring and termination recommendations; and ensures that staff are trained in complex maintenance activities and are following standard operating procedures. · Ensuring machine up time more than 98% · Control of maintenance cost within budget. · Breakdown analysis of plant and machines and counter measure implementation. · Conducting Internal Audit of ISO 14001 every month. · Maintaining minimum and maximum level of spare parts. · Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance as per plan. · Ensure implementation of four initiative (Kaizen) every month. · Ensuring one suggestion per employee per year. · Maintaining 3.5 level of skill matrix in maintenance department. · Maintaining machine history card. · 100% Customer Satisfaction (Internal/ External) · Day- to-day coordination with production Incharges. · Training of shop floor persons to help maintaining the machine. · Implementation of ‘My Machine Concept’. · Monitors and participates in operations in assigned sections including inspecting projects, developing and implementing modifications and improvements, recommending specifications and scheduling. · Answers questions and provides information related to, including resolving problems, approving expenditures, handling complaints and providing technical expertise in area of assignment. · Maintains effective working relationships and works in cooperation with the management team to effectively meet departmental objectives. · Provides input into the development of the operating budget for the assigned area of responsibility; orders materials and supplies; assists in the monitoring and tracking of expenditures for the section. · Coordinates section activities with other sections, programs and departments, including scheduling and resolving problems. · Assists in the selection of staff; performs periodic evaluations of subordinates and recommends and implements discipline as required. · Ensures that safety training is provided to staff and that proper safety practices are followed. · Responds to emergencies as requested; coordinates activities with other responders; directs the work of staff and utilization of resources to effect repair and ensure the safety of the community. · May perform a variety of field maintenance tasks, depending upon experience and level of certification. · Prepares records related to the work performed and materials and supplies used; enters invoices in the computerized purchasing system. · Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. |
RequirementsRequirementsDegree holder with minimum 10 years of experience in preferably packaging, plastics/ chemical industry. Reporting to Factory Manager , the person should be able to handle independently big plants and able to lead his team of different nationalities. |
