Maintenance Manager

Job description / Role

Purpose:
To provide tactical leadership and direction for the GTL Maintenance team; this includes the support of successful design, construction, handover, safe and incident free commissioning and start-up, and operations of the GTL Plant.

Summary of the job:
Establish and head up the maintenance team to ensure all required preparations are effected to enable a successful start-up of the GTL facility.
Ensure appropriate maintenance input during the project phase to ensure maintainability and reliability of GTL equipment and plant.
Responsible to recruit and train required manpower for commissioning and start-up support and maintenance of GTL equipment and plant.
Ensure availability and functionality of all maintenance work processes, infrastructure, and resource and service requirements for safe and efficient maintenance of the GTL plant.

Job Requirements:
As member of the operations team responsible to establish and build an operating organisation in an international location with diverse cultures and unique local requirements. Frequent travel is also required.
Ultimately be responsible for the development of the necessary maintenance plans and cost budgets and the achievement of operational result measured against these plans.
Joint accountability for safety and asset integrity.

Requirements

Qualifications and expertise required:
-B. Eng / Engineering (must)
-Business Qualification (strong wish)
-Chemical Process Industry - 12 years minimum, Managerial - 5 years minimum

Specific knowledge and experience required:

-Specific maintenance experience in petrochemical facilities (Must)
-Specific maintenance experience with large spectrum of both rotating and static equipment (Must)
-Specific experience with major shutdowns (Strong wish)
-Specific experience in execution of large project (Strong wish)
Skills and Personal Attributes:
Cultural sensitive business acumen with excellent interpersonal skills. Team achiever with networking and relation building abilities, and a balanced conceptual and practical management style.
