The RoleThe RoleMain Activities: - Responsible for the maintenance and control of Preventive maintenance system and all aspect of Maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical equipment on Drilling rigs as recommended by manufacturers, stipulated in drilling contracts and documented in Dalma Energy Quality Management System and Safety Management System procedures and instructions. - Responsible for the day to day monitoring of Preventive Maintenance in order to ensure compliance with maintenance requirement. - Assist Drilling Superintendents in all aspect of Preventive Maintenance and repair of equipment and carrying out annual appraisal of all Maintenance Personnel. - Provide technical support and guidance and training to Maintenance Personnel on rigs in order to assist them to carry out their job efficiently. - Provide technical support and guidance to Materials department on the supply of parts for maintenance schedules and to carry out technical inspection of spare parts received from suppliers. - Maintain the electronic system and verify close out of actions. - Provide technical support for Tendering and Contract implementation by specifying and verifying all aspect of Electrical and Mechanical Equipment requirements in contract. - Organize and supervise maintenance staff on the rig(s) under his supervision. - Direct maintenance, maintenance reports, equipment upgrades and ongoing repair work. - Attend regular meetings with the Operations Department to ensure that maintenance and repair works are effectively planned, coordinated and delivered based on priority. - Oversee and ensure the effective operation of mechanical, electrical and instruments. - Provide support to all parties to manage and coordinate all tendering and contracting activities regarding maintenance, including, but not limited to, attending pre-tender meetings, answering related questions raised by Contractors, solving technical problems, evaluating of technical tenders prior to awarding, reviewing and approving Contractor’s invoices, ensuring compliance to contract conditions and recommending changes to the scope of work, when needed. - Assist in the preparation of maintenance annual budgets, cost projections and budget proposals for maintenance services contracts and equipment. |
RequirementsRequirementsMain Competencies and Qualities: - Strong knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical drilling equipments. - Experience in Rig Maintenance & Engineering preferably land rig. - Knowledgeable in Saudi ARAMCO Engineering standard, API, WELL CONTROL Equipment standard, Electrical Code & ASME. - Strong knowledge of rig Building, Maintenance planning, maintenance Methods and equipment across the disciplines. - Ability to interpret technical drawings and specification documents. - Strong knowledge of related health, safety and environmental regulations. - Strong Leadership, Teambuilding and communications skills. - Strong commands of oral and written English. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent with Ten (10) years of experience in Rig Maintenance operations, of which at least Five (5) years in a managerial position. |
