The Role


Al-Futtaim logistics (a member of the Al-Futtaim Group) is a leading Supply Chain Management company in Dubai, UAE, with our major shareholders being one of the largest business houses in the lower Gulf region. Al-Futtaim logistics, started as a small warehouse for Al-Futtaim products about 25 years ago and has developed over the years into one of the largest logistics service providers in the UAE. We have nearly 500 people on our multi-cultural team from 20 different countries.
We offer superior pan-Arab supply chain management solutions including warehousing and distribution, freight forwarding as well as IT solutions and Supply Chain Design and Consulting. The company has an international network of offices and agents for overseas freight and warehousing, and distribution centres in all major UAE cities and ports. In this role you will be responsible for:

Supervising, servicing, maintaining and repairing the entire Fleet / MHE fleet within the organisation, including all forklifts, reach trucks, VNAs, PPTs & other related equipment
Handling the on-call emergency repair requirements of Fleet / MHE in the company
Arranging all parts repair quotations and seeking the approval of the respective business sector's before commencement of the job or within 24 hours of emergency repair
Proactively planning & scheduling all service jobs, coordinating such activities in such a way as to minimise disruption to the respective business
Performing random checks on Fleet / MHE equipment to ensure that due care & attention is being paid to them by the drivers to ensure the on-going safe operation of the same
Advising the drivers & relevant staff within the various business sectors of current best practice with regards to basic Fleet / MHE maintenance & operation
Ensuring adherence of the business and the Vendors/Workshops to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as set-out by the Transport Business Sector Manager (BSM), and to report any deviations in the same to the BSM in a proactive manner
Ensuring that all orders (LPOs) generated are in the SAP system, or are captured through acceptable Internal Work Orders
Ensuring that the on-line RAM file tracker (Repair And Maintenance) is updated daily and is used as a dynamic and accurate information centre for all business sectors to refer to and be able to access and update
Ensuring that detailed and accurate records of all Fleet / MHE equipment R&M history is maintained for easy reference and will further use this resource to analyse on and report on relevant trends

Trade skills in either Mechanical or Electrical
Excellent communication skills
Previous experience using a Computer Maintenance Management Systems such as SAP or Oracle
