The RoleThe RoleProfile: Will work in a multicultural team of Technicians and will carry out fault investigations, defect and preventative maintenance, together with modifications on a range of plant. The post holder should have a detailed understanding and practical experience of the maintenance of modern Combined Cycle Gas Turbine plant, Desalination plant and a wide range of Auxiliary Equipment. Technical Skills: •Technical competence within specific discipline of plant maintenance •Practical experience gained through serving an approved apprenticeship training programme. •Ability to carry out duties with minimum supervision •Organising spares, tools and equipment to carry out maintenance activities •Carry out maintenance activities on a range of major engineering components and systems. •Be responsible for fault diagnosis, work planning and management. •Practical knowledge of plant isolations from system •Knowledge of health & safety and safe working practices •Computer literacy Personal Skills: •Using sound judgment and common sense •Organising work and people effectively •Ability to use energy and enthusiasm to generate results •Ability to achieve objectives to time and budget •Good understanding of integrating multicultural staff into one team •Good problem solving skills |
RequirementsRequirementsExperience: Previous employment will have provided a minimum of 3 years experience in the maintenance of Power Plant at a similar level. Preferably should have knowledge and practical experience of the maintenance of modern Gas Turbines technology and Desalination units. Education: An Electrical Engineering related education to diploma level is the minimum requirement or a minimum of three years practical experience. |
