Currently offering a number of blue chip clients professional Real Estate solutions across a variety of sectors, specialising within Retail offering superior services across Commercial portfolios. A locally owned Mall under the pre-construction phase is seeking an experienced Mall Manager required to educate/advise a well known Director in Egypt and ensure that pre-opening is managed as professionally as possible. Start date would be early June and initially responsible for managing an experienced Facilities Manager, small in-house service team and ensure that overall sub-contracted services are as professionally run as possible. To be responsible for day to day operations from the initial pre-construction phase through to eventual operations late 2010. Must be prepared to act as a hands on Manager willing to educate other divisions, therefore must hold a sense of patience. Would be responsible for joining the team at the development phase working closely with the operations teams as well as leasing/finance departments. Overseeing the implementation of policies and procedures, management of tender processes, service level agreements. Eventual recruitment in house and have some budget responsibility. To oversee all support service functions- Operations, Facilities Management, Finance, Leasing as well as working closely with owners. To drive the services forwards to eventually operate a Mall which is seen as the most impressively operated mall in the region. Therefore standards need to be established at the development phase. |
RequirementsRequirementsEssential to have experience managing mixed use Malls in the GCC or Egypt as to understand the markets. Qualifications are not essential however a Bachelors in Commerce or Engineering would be advantageous and Memberships of Professional Bodies. Must possess an impressive track record with previous employers. Preferably experience working for a property/facilities management company in the Middle East/Egypt. Strong team leadership experience and negotiation skills with an influential manner required. Preferably with at least 10 years experience working within Retail for Malls and large scale mixed-use developments. This position is for the pre-opening of a Mall at the pre-construction phase, mobilisation will be late 2010 so must be willing to be extremely hands on. One must have worked within a Facilities Management or Retail Management environment to appreciate the importance of maintenance schedules and overall property development processes. Preferably experience working for a Global Real Estate company or consultancy.
