Management Accountant - Finance Shared Services Unit - Cairo, Egypt

Al-Futtaim's Retail Division holds a stable of world class brands operating in buoyant markets with huge growth prospects. Some of our brands are Marks & Spencer, Toys R Us, Ace, IKEA , Guess, Esprit, Plug-Ins as well as Robinsons with a range of smaller brands selected for their appeal to the markets in which we operate. We currently operate our Retail outlets across the GCC, Levant, Egypt and in South East Asia.

Alfa Egypt Trading Co is the Al-Futtaim Retail Divisions Egypt Operating Company. We have enjoyed phenomenal success throughout Egypt.

We are in the final stages of outline planning for massive growth and need to prepare for the next phase of this program in Egypt.

* Annual Budgeting, 5 Year Plan & Quarterly Forecasts aggregation and analysis for TRU , SSU
* Review and Analysis of Periodical MIS and Business Performance Reports. TRU , SSU
* Statutory financial statement for Alfa, IKEA
* Management pack for retail and related review
* Fixed Assets, Accounts payable
* Taxation

Requirements

* Financial Accounting
* Assist in management of company accounts & financials
* MIS and Reporting: Support in Preparation of monthly Accounts (B/S, P&L, Cash flows etc.) Preparation of MIS in concise manner to reflect the business performance for the reporting period to assist in decision making process.
* Budget / Reviews & Compliance: Assist in Budget preparation / Budget Review  & Manage ERP requirements of the Group through ensuring compliance to consolidation requirements (Budget / Actual performance)
* Monthly Closing: Monthly accounts closing / provision review, GL review & perform related process in the system.
* Capex & Fixed Assets: Track the Capex spends & ensure capitalization is complete in time.
* Customer Service: ensure that timely and qualitative information to various departments as per business requirement.
* Taxation : Review Tax reports and work closely with tax supervisor at , contribute at tax inspection requirements
* Audit : Review the essential transactions, adequate documentations before proceed the payment , Interact with internal & external auditor and assist Finance manager until deliver the statutory financial statements.
* Review critically various financial / non financial information capturing process to identify scope for improvement / automation.
* Participate in projects as and when required.

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
* Knowledge of budgeting, financial / management reporting and taxation.
* Universitydegree in Accounting, professional qualification in Accounting would be advantage.
* Good experience on IC reconciliations and necessary supportive documents for overseas transactions.
* Good experience at  internal & external audit requirements

Minimum Experience:
* Three year to five years in retail (preferred) / trading industry at similar position and at least ten years at accounting field, audit background & Experience with SAP system is plus.

Job-Specific Skills:
* Expert working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
* Very good command of English language
* Knowledge of accounting software packages, preferably ERP such as SAP
* Excellent interpersonal, analytical, planning and organizing skills and good business awareness.

Behavioural Competencies:
* The candidate should be able to effectively interact and work within and outside team.
