Management Accountant (Multinational Company)

Job description / Role

Salary: AED 20,000 + benefits

We are working closely with a multinational company who operate in over 60 countries across the globe to identify a strong Management Accountant / Financial Analyst to take lead in this newly created position within the region.

You will primarily assist the Finance Manager in preparing and developing a sustainable financial reporting process and analyse key financial information to ensure that the management makes well-informed decisions to ensure future stability, growth and profitability.

Job Responsibilities:
• To establish and maintain financial policies, as well as provide a high quality support service by liaising with management colleagues on all aspects of finance.
• To ensure that the finance manager is adequately supported by necessary accounting skills with business management skills in analysing the performance of business.
• To advice on how to improve profitability, adapt to changing circumstances and improve value of business to General Manager.
• Ensure by coordinating with the reporting team and add quality and value to financial reporting process.
• Implement new tools and techniques to improve the financial reporting routines.
• Provide adequate support to Dubai / NE and branches in ensuring adequate internal control routines are put in place.
• Make sure that we improve the quality of financial accounting records for branches in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and regional functions in line with the regional and corporate finance guidelines.

Requirements

Main Tasks / Requirement:
• Work as a team with Chief accountant / accountants in preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.
• Providing a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions.
• Ensuring spending is kept in line with the budget.
• Assist General Manager in key strategic decisions and formulating business strategies.
• Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions.
• Analysing financial performance and so contributing to medium and long-term business planning / forecasts; use Business objects, Hyperion planning and other latest analysis tools.
• Offering professional judgement on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance.
• Key driver in the business review process by providing financial / business related information and analysis.
• Liaising with other functional managers to put the finances and accounts in context.
• Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed.
• Implementing corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls.
• Provide financial accounting support to Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and the regional organisation located in Dubai.
• You must be a qualified accountant in order to apply for this position. The ideal candidate will be from a Manufacturing background although strong candidates from other sectors will also be considered.
