Management Accountant – Western

Job description / Role

Management Accountant WESTERN ONLY - AED26k - AED34k per annum

Based in Dubai, an exciting and challenging opportunity exists for a qualified accountant to be part of a dynamic finance team. Our client is looking for a commercially minded accountant to work closely with other teams across the organisation, such as asset managers, Legal and Operations departments, as well as external counterparties.
The role will suit a hands-on accountant wanting to work within a small finance team and assume full responsibility for areas under his/her financial management.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and enhance project and operational management reporting for a corporate head office, philanthropic funding and other areas
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis to supplement regular management reporting
- Manage key relationships such as those with tenants, project managers, bankers, professional advisers and suppliers
- Contribute to the enhancement of the control environment and streamlining of processes
- Multi-currency cash management and forecasting
- Perform month-end reconciliations and other general ledger maintenance
- Perform due diligence on project and operational disbursements
- Prepare statutory and non-statutory IFRS compliant financial statements
- Liaise with external auditors during annual audits

Language Requirement
- Native (or equivalent) English speaker (no other language is required)
Experience Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree and post graduate accounting qualification
- At least two years post qualified experience, in a challenging and high-profile environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages, particularly Excel and ideally Sun systems
