Job Overview
Aldelia is looking for a bright, analytical individual to join the team in Dubai, UAE, as a Management Accountant.
Primary responsibilities will include integral day to day management function of the central accounting function for Aldelia Middle East entities. The role involves working in a multi-national and multi-currency environment, communicating with colleagues from Middle East entities, on all aspects of company finance. The role combines efficient accounting skills with effective management and concise communication to both financial and non-financial management. Primary responsibilities will include looking ahead, analysing business performance advising on how to pre-empt potential challenges and if any occur deal with the challenges effectively, and adapt to changing circumstances and developments. The overall aim for this role is to improve value in all areas of the business by managing and reducing operational and production costs and assist in implementing the most effective strategies.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be carrying out the following responsibilities:

• Manage Middle East entities payments in line with company policies and procedures and as directed by the Financial Controller.
• Timely management of the sales and purchase ledger
• Maintaining the integrity of records contained in accounting software which shall involve the set-up of the accounts in ledgers, reports preparation, month-end processes, consolidation mapping
• Accurate and prompt preparation of management accounts for Middle East entities
• Conduction of internal payroll of internal and contracted resources, including calculation of commission payments in accordance with the company’s omission policy; in some cases conducting the payroll will involve liaising with external payroll related entities.
• Produce financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries
• Assist in the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasting
• Provide management reporting for decision-making, including project appraisal, evaluation and post-implementation analysis
• On-going review of cash flow and production of forecasts
• Produce annual statutory accounts in management accounts format
• Calculation, presentation and payment of taxes
• Negotiating on major projects, loans and grants
• Manage capital expenditure
• Report on company assets and liabilities including balance sheet account reconciliations and review of intangible assets
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
• Manage trainee accountants, including day-to-day communication and motivation as well as succession planning and performance management
• Carry out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost effective operations

Requirements

Essential Skills

• Qualified Accountant with minimum 3 years of experience
• Proven technical and analytical ability
• Understanding of modern management information systems
• Ability to manage, delegate, motivate, monitor and control team activity
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
• Intellectual with a strong commercial acumen

• Ability to adapt to change and effectively deal with uncertainties as cause of company’s development
• Ability to work independently
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationship with the team and management
• Problem solving ability

Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
• ACCA or SIMA certified degree holder
