Job description / Role
The position reports to the Firm’s Senior Management Accountant based in Dubai, UAE. and would be responsible for but not limited to the following tasks:
• Overall management accounting and control of the company entities in internationally;
• Processing all accounting related transactions and journals based on information obtained from portfolio reports, bank statements, trade reports and internal receivables/payables documents;
• Daily cash, margin and portfolio reconciliations;
• Weekly cash payments for service providers and reimbursements for company employees;
• Monthly accruals, receivables, payables and VAT reconciliations for the foreign entities;
• Monthly analytical review of the private investment portfolio for the above companies;
• Liaise with the Senior Management Accountant to effectively plan the annual audits of the Group;
• Preparation and liaison with auditors regarding year-end external audit;
• Preparation and liaison with auditors regarding year-end tax filings.
Requirements
Our client offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a unique financial services advisory which has an international presence in a number of different countries. They are a large U.S. hedge fund looking for a Management Accountant to join their team based here in Dubai.
They are looking for:
3-5 years of experience in an fund accounting / management accounting based role.
A good cultural fit within the company
Based in the UAE or ME region
Financial Services background
Good academic background with CPA/CA preferred
