The RoleThe RolePRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: · Assisting with the planning and execution of the budgeting elements of the Annual Business Plan · Ensuring provision of quality Management Information & Project Cost Reporting · Ensuring all internal reporting (budgets, VOWD, LE, commitments, phasing of expenditure, cash forecasts, variance analysis) is on time and consistent & accurate, “right first time” · Promoting budget transparency & ownership across the business, advising management of any threats or deviations to plan and recommend/monitor remedial action · Ensuring costs are constantly under control, including control over commitments & ensuring service level agreements are in place for Group companies · Providing finance advice / services to the business, liaising with specialist finance sections such as insurance, treasury and taxation as required. · Promoting the effective & efficient use of SAP within the business. |
RequirementsRequirementsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE: · The candidate will have a university qualification and have a good grasp of fundamental financial accounting concepts (double entry) and/or studying for finance qualifications. · Have competent numerical and analytical ability and able to deliver accurate and high quality information to tight deadlines · Good PC application skills, particularly experience with spreadsheets (e.g. intermediate/advanced excel skills) and finance systems experience · Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to develop working relationships with both finance and non-finance personnel. · Be able to display initiative with the ability to work with the minimum of supervision. · 5 years experience, with 1-2 years in Oil and Gas |
